What is Kickapoo University?
Kickapoo U is a college and career preparatory program which provides opportunities for relevant professional experiences through job shadows, volunteerism, dual credit courses, and an internship and Capstone course.

Job Shadows |
Students in Kickapoo U are required to complete 150 hours of volunteerism. Of those hours, 50 will be acquired during the A+ Tutoring course.
Dual Credit CoursesKickapoo High School offers a variety of dual credit courses. Computer Applications I, Introduction to Speech, and Internship/Capstone are all required for Kickapoo University and are all offered as dual credit. Students are encouraged to take AP and dual credit courses whenever possible to earn college credit at a significantly lower cost and to provide for greater flexibility in college.

At least three different job shadows are required. Each job shadow should be a minimum of three hours in the career field of the student's choice.
Internship and CapstoneThese courses are taken the student's Senior year. After completing three job shadows as an underclassmen, students are encouraged to secure an internship in the career field that inspires them. A Capstone research course will follow Internship and will provide an invaluable college-level experience.
